ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has accused the Punjab police of sealing their polling stations during party elections in Rawalpindi.
“The stay order used for sealing the polling station has no relation to the election.”
Addressing the party secretariat here, Khan said that whenever the Sharif brothers are in power they always use the police unlawfully. The PTI chairman added that the Sharif brothers would use the police to extract revenge not provide justice to the people.
Imran also accused Nawaz Sharif of inducting criminals into the police during his terms in office.
Meanwhile PTI workers assaulted a reporter of a private news channel in Gujranwala while party workers also clashed in Lahore.
The PTI is holding the second and not most crucial phase of its intra-party elections in several districts across Punjab.
